About Puzzledoku

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Puzzledoku is a small, independent home for free logic puzzles you can play in your browser.

We love puzzles that are easy to learn and satisfying to master, the kind you can solve in a coffee break and still think about later. Our goal is simple: make those puzzles free, fast and friendly on every device, with no downloads and no sign-up.

How we make our puzzles

We generate Queens boards from a solution and grow colored regions around the pieces. A search solver checks that there is exactly one valid solution. A separate logical analysis then checks whether the board can be completed using the supported deductions, including single candidates, line reservations, groups of regions and contradiction chains. Boards that fail the required checks are not accepted for play. Our puppies and puzzle artwork are original.

Difficulty is based on the deductions the solver needs and their weighted score. This is a guide to the required logic, not a prediction of how many minutes every person will need. The current collection contains 200 levels, with easier breaks and challenge levels along the way.

How the daily puzzle works

Each daily board uses a deterministic seed derived from its UTC date, so the same published date gives everyone the same puzzle. The site rebuilds on a daily schedule; the new board appears after building and deployment finish. Dated pages keep each board available in the archive, which starts on October 8, 2026.

Your game progress, first daily results and streak are stored in this browser on this device. There is no account synchronization. Clearing browser storage or changing devices can lose those records.

A streak advances when the next newly solved date follows the previous recorded date. Skipping a date starts a new count; playing an older archived board does not repair a gap in your current streak.

Hints that teach

When you ask for a hint, our solver looks at your board and explains the next logical step in plain words. We think the best hint is one that makes you a better solver, not one that just hands you the answer.

Our games

Who writes the guides?

Puzzledoku publishes and maintains the rules tutorial, strategy guide and comparison articles. Articles use the Puzzledoku organization byline and show their publication and update dates. We do not claim a separate expert reviewer or invent credentials.

Worked daily openings are written for specific boards and checked against the puzzle and solver during the build. We publish them only for reviewed dates, rather than automatically adding the same explanation to every daily page. The complete answer remains in a separate folded section.

When we compare our game with an app, we disclose that we operate this site, link the official source and separate public listing claims from things we have tested. Listing-based comparisons are not hands-on app reviews. We do not reproduce another publisher’s artwork or numbered levels.

Report an issue or suggest a change

Get in touch if you find a bug, a faulty deduction or an outdated comparison. Include the page link, daily date or level number, what you expected, and your browser and device. Those details help us reproduce the problem and correct the relevant page.
